[AMCAT Syllabus] Aspiring Minds Computer Adaptive Test is one of the most popular test taken mainly by engineering graduates for getting placement into IT companies. AMCAT Test gives you percentile in different sections namely quantitative aptitude, reasoning and English as well as optional subjects. AMCAT also prepares a detailed report based on the personality test conducted. Detailed reports shows many things about you such as your suitability for different sectors such as IT, Business, ITES, Technical writer and much more. AMCAT syllabus is same for all branches of engineering like ECE, EEE, CSE , IT and others.

Before you book your seat you must know the AMCAT syllabus and pattern of the exam. There are mainly 3 sections in the AMCAT Exam namely :
  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Test of Reasoning
  3. English Comprehension
  4. Optional Subject ( you need to chose during the exam)
Quantitative Aptitude : Logarithms, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Divisibility, HCF and LCM, Numbers, Decimal Fractions and Power, Profit and Loss, Simple and compound interest, Time,speed and distance.
Logical Ability or Reasoning : Selection decision tables, Puzzles, Coding Pattern, Number series Pattern, Analogy,Logical word sufficiency, Data sufficiency, Coding – Decoding, Blood relations, Directional Sense, Objective Reasoning.
English Comprehension : Speech and Voices, Literal Comprehension, Contextual Vocabulary, Comprehension Ordering, Synonyms, Antonyms, Tenses and Articles, Prepositions and Conjunctions.
The English Comprehension is very very easy. When I gave the AMCAT exam, I scored 99.7 percentile in English section. Prepare for the aptitude and reasoning section and prepare only what is given in the above syllabus because questions will appear from these topics only.
